Terms of sale

This English version is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Seller
The website www.solangepoint.com is operated under the trade name Solangepoint by Solange Lénérand, sole trader (French micro-entreprise). Contact: contact@solangepoint.com.
2. Scope
These terms apply to any order placed on www.solangepoint.com by a consumer. Placing an order means accepting these terms, in the version online on the day of the order.
3. Products
Solangepoint bags are one-of-a-kind pieces, handmade from recycled jeans. Each piece is photographed and described as accurately as possible; colours may nevertheless vary slightly depending on your screen. The shades, signs of wear and small irregularities of the denim are part of each piece’s character and are not defects.
As each piece exists in a single copy, it is reserved for the first person to complete payment. If two orders were placed for the same piece at the same time, the second would be cancelled and fully refunded.
4. Prices
Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included (VAT not applicable, article 293 B of the French General Tax Code). Shipping costs are added to the price of the pieces; they are listed on the Shipping and returns page and shown in the cart before payment. The applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order.
5. Orders
You add one or more pieces to your cart, choose your shipping zone, then are redirected to the secure payment page, where you enter your details and shipping address. The order is final once payment is confirmed. A confirmation is sent to you by email.
6. Payment
Payment is due when ordering. It is made online through the secure Stripe platform, by bank card or the other methods offered on the payment page (Apple Pay, Klarna…). Solangepoint never has access to your bank details.
7. Delivery
Pieces are shipped within 1 to 3 business days after payment, to the address given when ordering, in the zones and under the conditions described on the Shipping and returns page. The risk of loss or damage passes to you when you take physical possession of the piece. If delivery is more than 30 days late compared with the announced date, you may cancel the order and be refunded.
8. Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from receipt of the order to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to give a reason. Simply send us a clear statement by email to contact@solangepoint.com, for example: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from the contract for the sale of the piece […], ordered on […], received on […]. Name, address, date.”
The piece must be sent back within 14 days of this statement, in its original condition. Return shipping costs are your responsibility. We refund the price of the piece and the original shipping costs (based on the standard rate) within 14 days of receiving your statement, and at the latest on receipt of the piece, using the payment method used for the order. You may be held liable for any loss in value of the piece resulting from handling other than what is necessary to examine it.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to creations made to your specifications or clearly personalised, including custom orders (article L221-28, 3° of the French Consumer Code).
9. Legal guarantees
All pieces are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L217-3 et seq. of the French Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the French Civil Code).
Under the guarantee of conformity, you have 2 years from delivery to take action. You may ask for the piece to be repaired or, if that is impossible, refunded. During this period, you only need to prove that the defect exists, not that it existed at the time of sale. Under the guarantee against hidden defects, you may choose between cancelling the sale and a price reduction, within 2 years of discovering the defect.

10. Personal data
The information collected when you order is used to process and ship it and to contact you about it. How it is processed is detailed in the privacy policy.
11. Complaints
For any complaint, contact us at contact@solangepoint.com: we always look for an amicable solution and reply as quickly as possible.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable resolution, any dispute will be brought before the competent courts, in accordance with the ordinary rules of law.
